Select one character - from any of the books you've read for the course - that has left the most enduring impression (positive or negative) on you, and tell us why.
He seems interesting because he can be seen as partially positive and also negative. He is seen as partially positive because at times we can understand what he wants; a mother to look after his children and a wife who will look after the house. Also, despite the fact that society has a negative perspective of Shug Avery, Mr. _______ still loves her. However, he is a liar, cheat and a coward for choosing to treat Celie (the mother to his children and wife to the house) as a child, wanting to keep her away from the only family that she has (her sister Nettie). What make things worse is the fact that he is aware of what he does and only in the end does he realize what he once had.
Mr.________ from The Color Purple.
